Huge congratulations to Upper Sixth student Caragh Haspel and her brother, Fifth Year student Will Haspel for being voted Sportsman and Sportswoman of the month for September. Both have shown outstanding attitude, passion and ability in their chosen sports.

Mr. Kench, Director of Sport, tells us why they have been chosen for the award:

“A key member of the U16A Indoor Hockey team, Will has showed a fantastic attitude to training putting in some excellent performances early in the season. Alongside this his commitment to the U16B Rugby team and energy that he gives to training has been superb. As well as these two sports, Will also plays an integral role in the U16A Basketball team. His attitude to sport and playing a variety of different sports matches the school’s multi-sport ethos and has helped to bring out the best in all of his teammates.

In Hockey Caragh has been the standout performer with some quite simply sensational performances. Her coaches speak about how Caragh’s drive and passion for the sport has helped push the performances of those in her team. Away from Hockey Caragh has also put in a superb performance at the Surrey Netball tournament for the 1st VII helping them to win 3 out of their 4 games and progress to the next round. Caragh’s attitude to sport in general is exemplary and her ‘give it a go’ attitude, stands her out as a role model for Trinity girls’ sport.”
