Festival of Ideas 2022: Conference on Innovation

This year, the theme of the Festival of Ideas is, ‘Innovation’. Our three speakers come from different fields and will talk broadly on the topic before referencing their individual experiences. We hope this will then facilitate a discussion on the importance of innovation in the modern world, prompted by questions from you – the audience. We are delighted to invite the following:

Cemal Ezel: Cemal left Trinity in 2002. He is the Founder of Change Please CIC. Listed by Bloomberg as the World’s most promising startup.  Change Please was also Sir Richard Branson’s 2018 “Start Up of The Year” in The Sunday Times and they have  recently won the Queen’s Excellence award for Social Mobility 2019.

Dr. Anu Obaro:  A consultant radiologist and PhD researcher studying bowel cancer imaging interpretation at St Mark’s Hospital, London. She is the recipient of the John Nichols Prize for Research 2020 and was awarded Diversity Champion – COVID Heart Hero Award 2021 for her COVID vaccine advocacy work.

Sophie Dunster:  The founder of Gung Ho, a London-based ethical and sustainable fashion brand that allows you to not only wear what you love, but what you believe in. The collections are ‘seasonless’, made fairly & locally from sustainable fabrics.

This in an outstanding opportunity for you to hear from leaders in the charity sector, medicine and fashion. We are honoured that they have taken the time out of their busy schedule to visit the school.
