Our autumn Parent Seminar programme concludes with a presentation on the topic of Adolescent Mental Health, Anxiety and Wellbeing. The seminar will be delivered by Dr. Pooky Knightsmith from In Our Hands on Tuesday 29th November from 6.30 p.m. until 8.00 p.m. via Zoom.
An internationally respected face of child and adolescent mental health, Pooky is a prolific keynote speaker, lecturer, trainer and author who develops and shares practical, evidence-informed approaches to promoting mental health in children. Pooky has a PhD in child mental health from the Institute of Psychiatry, is the author of seven books and was previously the chair of the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Coalition. She also has personal experience of the impact of mental health difficulties, and of raising children.
She has designed this seminar to explore some simple, practical ideas that can be used to respond to feelings of anxiety or low mood, including both proactive and reactive strategies. These are all ideas that can also be used to promote general wellbeing and would be helpful for any child (or adult) to learn.
The link to join will be sent by email the day before the event.
