Trinity Junior Orchestral Day

10th October 10.00 - 5.00pm

Trinity Junior Orchestral Day

We would like to invite your child(ren) to Trinity School for a fun day of orchestral playing. The standard for the day is grade 2 or above on an orchestral instrument and is open to pupils aged 8-12. Players of a higher standard will also be catered for by tailoring more challenging repertoire.

Our team for the day will be made up of full-time staff as well as some of our visiting music specialists, all of whom are active performers and distinguished teachers in their own right.

The orchestra will learn new repertoire, to be played at the end of the day in an informal concert. We will be exploring things the children have learned in their instrumental lessons, reinforcing the work of their teachers, as well as introducing new skills, opening new musical avenues and providing new tools. Learning how to play in a big ensemble and being aware of what is going on around you is a great experience, but the most important thing is that they get the chance to make music with like-minded children and, hopefully, have lots of fun.

There is a charge for the day of £20; £15 for siblings and free to Trinity Students.

Below is the structure of the day for your reference. As you arrive on the day, please park in the main car park and follow the signs for Registration. At the end, you are most welcome to attend our informal concert at 16.00, followed by refreshments, where you will have the chance to talk to the staff involved during the day.
