Fifth Year student Ross Sinclair has been selected for the Scotland SQ (Scottish Qualified) rugby camp.
Ross has been selected for the Scotland U16 Exiles Green Squad at Murrayfield stadium. The camp, which will be held at the end of March, will include individual development, team organisation and game opportunities against Scotland U16 Blue and Scotland U16 Red teams. This will give Ross the chance to impress the national selectors and earn a Scotland U16 cap.
The Scottish Qualified Programme is a player-centered initiative, designed to develop and support Scottish Qualified players living outside of Scotland. The scheme provides appropriate support and opportunities to progress towards international and age-grade matches, and beyond.
Ross said: “I am so happy and I look forward to the camp at the end of the month. I would like to thank the Trinity sports team for their coaching and off the pitch strength and conditioning, which has contributed to my selection.”
Ian Kench, Director of Rugby said: “Ross has worked incredibly hard over the entire time he has been at Trinity. He is a fantastic sportsman who has represented the school’s A-teams in a multitude of sports. This recognition for his effort is thoroughly deserved and everyone at the school is wishing him the best of luck at the Scotland U16 camp.”
Congratulations, Ross!
