The theme of this week’s online Photography Club competition was ‘Looking through’ and students were encouraged to be experimental and adventurous in their photography.
Very well done to First Year student, James, who won with his stunning photograph, below, taken at Balcombe Viaduct. The title is: ‘Through the Arches’.
James used a Canon 6D camera to take the photo and says: “I took the photo because I loved the colour of the brickwork and the way that the arches draw your eye through to the end. I liked the way that the arches repeat. I think that Balcombe Viaduct is an amazing example of the type of buildings that were built in the Victorian time.
“I really enjoy photography and take my camera with me on most family days out,” he adds.
Budding student photographers are warmly invited to the online Photography Club, which has been created so that all year groups can participate. No specialist equipment is required. Your phone camera will do!Themes are set fortnightly, with work needing to be submitted in JPEG format by the deadline.
