On Thursday 23 June, our Lower Sixth Geographers headed off to Trinity’s Boetius centre for a fieldtrip to collect data for their coursework.
Mrs Prestney says: “The fieldtrip saw the pupils visit sunny Porthcawl to conduct questionnaires to the local residents – including special guest appearances from the original Mr and Mrs Ruck – along with a visit to Kenfig dunes to undertake sand dune transects. Here, not only did Conor Byrne show his strength by lugging 51 litres of water across the rough terrain, but we also witnessed one of the worst hailstorms in recent history.
“The group was great company, showing an excellent attitude to learning as well as the importance of participating in teamwork – including a great team run each day, one of which was to the stunning Henryd waterfalls.”
