Many congratulations to Liam Writer, Joe Cotton, Jay Evemy, Nick Challier, Gabriel Pattinson-Binns, Will Bishop, George Lawrence-Green, Zac Burt, Zac Downey and Jack Mann who put in a fantastic performance at the Indoor hockey London Area Finals recently.
They won 4-0 against Mill Hill and KCS, Wimbledon; 11-0 against Aldenham; and 2-1 versus Kingston Grammar, before losing 4-0 to the tournament favourites, Whitgift.
Mr Edwards comments: “Despite just missing out on qualification to the National Finals I was extremely proud of every member of the team. They were an absolute pleasure to coach throughout the whole term. The performances on the day were a credit to the time and effort they have put into indoor hockey throughout the last few years. This success will serve as an excellent springboard for the outdoor season and I am looking forward to seeing their progress this term.”
Team captain, Liam Writer, adds: “It was a valiant effort from the boys with some of the best hockey played by the 1st team in the past few years.”
