Local Councillor and Special Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mario Creatura, recently gave a fascinating talk to our Upper School students.
Mr Creatura responded to questions from the group on local and national concerns with great enthusiasm, insight and passion.
Upper Sixth student, Will Perry, commented: “It was interesting to hear how Mario accidentally fell into politics through helping a friend, despite not being politically active in his early years”.
Mr Creatura’s thoughts on the Brexit process (as viewed from inside 10 Downing Street), as well as the management of the Prime Minister’s Twitter page, gave our students a fascinating perspective on the realities of British politics and current events.
Expect to see him around Croydon in the run up to the general election, as he has been selected by the Conservative Party as their candidate for Croydon Central.
