Our Water Polo teams have had a fantastic week, with both our U15 and U18 teams claiming gold and silver medals at the ESSA National Finals.
Our U15 team won the national title following a closely-fought match at Northampton School for Boys against Bolton. The game ended 2-2, resulting in a nail-biting penalty shoot out, where Aarav Ganguli demonstrated excellent goal-keeping skills, and Fred Turpin and Will Burbidge both scored excellent penalties to secure our gold medal with a 2-0 penalty result.
Following the U18 team’s victory against Alleyn’s (5-0) in the semi-finals, they faced Bolton in their final match. Our team were the youngest and smallest squad by some distance, yet our defensive organisation made us incredibly difficult to break down. The final score was 3-1 to Bolton.
