Some of our Cross Country runners recently headed to Guilford to race in the Haskell cup, reports George Ogden, from the Upper Sixth:

“There was a delay before the race began but this didn’t phase the teams, which both got off to a strong start. After the first leg, the Bs were on a roll moving from 43rd to 19th across the final three legs. Alex Middleton brought it home and was the second fastest across both teams. He and the rest of his team are in the Fourth Year which gives them three more years of cross country at Trinity – very exciting. The As finished 8th with a strong third leg from David Aisa-Miller and George Ogden running leg 1 and leg 4.”

David, Alex and George then met up again in Mansfield for the National Cross Country championships at the weekend. Alex’s team secured 12th place for the U15 boys while George’s finished 19th for the U20 men.

A fantastic effort from all of them; well done.

"A massive congratulations to all of our runners. It is particularly impressive to see the Fourth Year running with Sixth Form students and doing so well – the future is bright for all of our runners!”

Mr Kimmins, Head of Cross Country
