Sixth Form student Anna Bradescu has secured a diving scholarship at Georgia Tech in the US.

This achievement is testament to Anna’s diving success. She competed in the GB Junior Elite Diving Championships earlier this year, coming 4th. She also won double gold at the Swim England National Age Group Championships in 2018.

Georgia Tech (Georgia Institute of Technology) is a technology-focused college in Atlanta, Ga, and one of the top research universities in the USA. Anna plans to major in maths.

Anna said: “I’m so excited to be going to Georgia Tech on a diving scholarship, and I can’t wait to train and compete with the team! Everyone at Trinity has been so helpful, especially by helping me catch up when I have competitions, and assisting me with my application.”

Head of Aquatics at Trinity, Sean King, said: “We are very proud of Anna, who has joined fellow alumnae Kathy Rogers and Hannah Bond in securing a scholarship to a top US university. Anna is an excellent athlete and has worked extremely hard, not just at her diving but also academically, and is fully deserving of this opportunity. We will follow her progress closely as she moves to Georgia Tech and gets to train regularly in world-class facilities and with top coaches.

Congratulations, Anna!
