Our Sixth Form were very busy during Higher Education Week – enjoying a jam-packed programme designed to help with their applications for further study or work.
A variety of lectures were held in the Mitre Theatre, alongside practicals; presentations from speakers such as Manchester University’s Huw Peters; advice from alumni; ICT clinics; and sessions on topics such as student finance, law, applying to conservatoires, art foundation courses, overseas universities, apprenticeships and Oxbridge.
The objective of the week is to help students with their UCAS applications and as they refine their choices for the next stages of their lives.
Ms Geldeard, Head of Sixth Form, said: “It was wonderful to see our Lower Sixth students engaging with staff, visiting speakers and alumni for Higher Education Week. We have explored the wealth of opportunities available, giving each individual the chance to reflect on their own future pathways. There was a real sense of purpose and energy as the students considered courses, institutions and options; their anticipation and excitement for their future was abundantly clear.”
