A team of Trinity climbers took part in our first inter schools climbing competition at Redpoint Climbing in Worcester last week.
Samson Terrett (4th form), Ross Ah-Weng (L6), Cai Edwards (L6) and Lukas Cobb (L6) took part in the intermediate category of this national competition with 150 other pupils from over 30 schools.
The team knew they’d be challenged but, with some excellent and strategic climbing, they gave themselves the best chance of success.
They had a great time working out and climbing the routes and it was testament to their enjoyment of the sport that they set their own ‘dyno’ competition, which eventually drew the attention of most of the other competitors.
The boys gave a great performance and were thrilled that Lukas won gold in the ‘Open Intermediate’ category. The team are now keen to progress to the advanced category.
Watch out for results of our inaugural Trinity climbing competition held on Thursday 12th December!
