A community art project will join our students with local care home residents.
Looking outwards, and playing an active role in our local community, is something our students do on a regular basis.
Even though circumstances may mean that our usual community action activities can’t take place, students are starting a ‘visual conversation’ with residents of Whitgift Care homes to help them during this period of isolation and minimal contact.
Students have been tasked with ‘sharing their viewpoint’, using a mixture of text and image, on a postcard. Residents will then be invited to respond with their own images and writing, and we are hoping to create either an exhibition or paper to show some of the work produced.
