We are delighted to report another set of excellent GCSE results this year.

Just under half (49%) of all grades awarded were the top 9 grade.  89.2% of all grades were 9, 8 or 7 (A*/A equivalents) – close to our best-ever set of results.

Out of 123 candidates, 11 boys achieved straight 9 grades, and over 100 boys achieved a 9 grade in at least one subject.

Science subjects, in particular, saw some fantastic results; across Physics, Chemistry and Biology, 94% of grades were 9 or 8.

Alasdair Kennedy, Headmaster, said: “I am delighted for both our students and staff on these excellent grades. Our students have developed all-round as people through this process and that, as well as the support of their teachers and families, is reflected here. We look forward to seeing their academic ability and interests develop as they enter the next stage of their education.”

Saul Packer, who got 11 grade 9s, said: “I’m feeling very excited for next year and am very happy with my results!”

Sebastian Exall achieved all grades 7-9 across 10 subjects, and took part in a tandem sky dive yesterday to raise money for our Trinity Malawi Project. He said: “I’m very happy – it’s now on to the A Levels!”

Jamie Coskun, who achieved grades 8 and 9 across 10 subjects, said: “I’m so happy that the exams went really well – and I’m glad I got the grades I needed to take my next A level subjects”.
