Two talented members of the Trinity Boys Choir have spent their summer singing the challenging role of Miles in Britten’s opera, The Turn of the Screw, at Garsington Opera, Buckinghamshire.

Second Year student Ben Fletcher and Fourth Year Isaac Rogers successfully alternated in the role, with Ben’s opening night performance celebrated by critics who called it “a flawless portrayal of sustained credibility” and “exemplary”.

Ben and Isaac have further strengthened the enviable reputation of Trinity Boys Choir for providing outstanding boy soloists capable of performing this role.

In 2009, Crispin Lord became the first Trinity boy to take on the role of Miles, and sixteen boys have now sung as Miles in theatres across the UK, Austria, China, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico and Spain.

Congratulations to both Ben (above) and Isaac (left) for their performances this summer.
