Our recent No Small Change telephone campaign raised £120,000 for bursaries at Trinity.
We are delighted that we received an overwhelming amount of support for our first telephone fundraising campaign in support of the Trinity Bursary Fund.
Over our two-week campaign period, 12 alumni ambassadors spoke to over 500 Trinity parents, alumni and other supporters and received gifts and pledges amounting to £120,475.
Over a third of all people contacted chose to change the lives of children needing help with school fees, with support ranging from £5 one-off and regular gifts from our younger alumni, to regular gifts of £100 per month from our more established parent and alumni donors.
Support came from every quarter, with parents and alumni alike signalling their approval of our drive to ensure that we remain within reach of any child who would thrive here, not only for the difference it will make to them, but also for the way it shapes our school experience and values of our whole community.
In the 2018/19 school year, some 275 parents and alumni became donors to Trinity. In acting together, their gifts mean that six additional pupils have been able to take up places at Trinity who would not otherwise have been able to do so. Our donors have changed the lives of these young people forever.
Our thanks go to our 12 young telephone ambassadors who worked so hard, and to all who those that responded so magnificently. We will publish our first annual report on giving later in the year and look forward to welcoming our donors at our annual reception on 18th November.
Our bursary programme helps hundreds of children whose families can’t afford school fees to receive a transformative education. We want that to be within reach of any child who would thrive here, not only for the difference it will make to them, but also for the way it shapes the school experience and values of our whole community.
It’s not too late to become a donor to the No Small Change campaign. Your gift doesn’t have to be large to make a big difference. It takes just 40 supporters committing to a gift of £1 per day – the price of half a cup of coffee – to fund a full bursary place and change a child’s life.
When it comes to the education of the young, there is no such thing as small change.
