As we finished for the Christmas break over thirty pupils across the Second and Third Forms travelled to Barcelona for a pre-season training camp.
The group enjoyed wonderful weather, with the majority of the training sessions taking place in glorious winter sunshine. The boys worked tirelessly during the training sessions and their efforts made the coaching sessions easy for our coaches.
Off the pitch the group explored all that Barcelona had to offer. From the beautiful views over Barcelona from the Olympic village at the top of Montjuic, to the Nou Camp stadium tour and museum, they had a fantastic time. The boys got to see Messi’s Ballon D’ors and golden boots in the museum and experienced views from the top of the stadium, as well getting to stand pitch side, sit in the dug outs, walk through the tunnel and changing room.
This was a great trip which will hopefully result in a successful hockey season!
