Last week eight of our Lower Sixth students attended an Economics Conference at Cambridge University.
The group enjoyed hearing from a great line up of speakers, including economists, journalists and social geographers, who covered subjects ranging from the American economy and inequality, to Brexit, and radical uncertainty in today’s economy.
Marlowe Cadiz said “The lecture on radical uncertainty was very interesting; it made me realise that using exact probabilities is often not optimal. The lecture on Brexit was also very informative and I enjoyed listening to the speaker giving his opinion on the vote”.
It sounded like a fascinating day of debate and discussion – we hope the group had an informative and enjoyable day!
