The results for the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust’s Intermediate Mathematical Challenge are in! Trinity students received 38 Gold, 50 Silver and 21 Bronze awards.
Mr Patel comments: “This is a fantastic achievement. We have a whopping total of 50 students through to the Kangaroo rounds. Well done to Max in Fifth Year, Finlay in Fourth Year and Joshua in Third Year for achieving the best results in their year groups. Finlay’s incredible score of 112 put him through to the Hamilton Olympiad round, for the top 600 students. A special mention also to Naku in Second Year who, taking part in this competition a year early, achieved the best result in the school, with a phenomenal score of 120. His mathematical thinking for someone so young is off the charts!”
"The UKMT Maths Challenge is an opportunity for our students to show off their mathematical thinking. They really enjoy the intellectual challenge the competition provides. I’m looking forward to seeing the boys perform in the follow-on rounds on the 17th March. Good luck!"
