A team of students celebrated victory this week in the first round of the Hans Woyda Maths Competition.
The team, who were playing St Dunstan’s in the first round of this tough competition, did particularly well in the ‘Mental Maths’ and ‘Team’ rounds, with captain Isaac Flanagan effectively coordinating a strategy.
Isaac Flanagan, Daniel Warren, Varun Ravikumar, Dominic Coates and Zain Lam, all worked hard (along with George Ogden and Krish Oza, who did not compete in this round) to prepare both mathematically and tactically.
The next match takes place at Eltham College in a few weeks time. We wish the team the best of luck!
