Our Art Department has spread some joy by delivering over 100 unique postcards, designed by both students and staff.
Mr Strange, Head of Art, explains: “We encouraged the school community to submit images that would inspire and encourage with a positive message to residents of Whitgift Care Homes.”
The project was named ‘a visual conversation’, he adds.
As many care homes are not able to invite visitors currently, it was decided that the best route for positive messages could be via uplifting and thoughtful postcard designs.
Mr Strange continued: “The boys have really taken to it, with entries from each year group in the lower school, including some from teachers and children of teachers.”
We are sure the residents will have appreciated this kind gesture from the school community.
