Trinity’s Head of Academic Music, Richard Holdsworth, wrote a song for Christmas 2020, reflecting on the challenges of the past year and the importance of remembering those less fortunate.

The song was performed and recorded in one day by our talented musicians and staff.

It is still available on You Tube, with donations going to homeless charities Crisis and One YMCA.

Mr Holdsworth wants to thank the Trinity community for giving so generously to the charities we are supporting who do so much invaluable work throughout the year. The Just Giving page is still open here.

Particular thanks go to Phil Steel for his help with the arrangement and to Jamie Coskun, a Sixth Form student who masterminded the whole recording process and then mixed and edited the track.

Crisis works with thousands of homeless people every year, providing vital help so that individuals can rebuild their lives, while One YMCA delivers a range of programmes, accommodation and services to ensure there are opportunities for young people facing tough circumstances.
