Congratulations to both the U15 and the Senior teams who have progressed to the second round of the National Cup; the Natwest Schools Cup. This is an annual English schools’ rugby union cup competition and the final is held at Twickenham Stadium.
“The U15 age group have showed tremendous resilience this season and deserved their 28-0 win over Eltham – with Jared Thompson leading from the front and breakout performances from Joseph Mamode and Joshua Adu-Kwapong,” said Mr Roberts, Head of Rugby.
“Meanwhile, the 1st team built upon their win over Langley with an impressive performance against Wimbledon College. Roma Matebalavu and Ross Sinclair had strong performances and finished off the pick of the tries in the 52-0 win.”
This weekend also saw more impressive performances from across the age groups against Brighton College. The U14s continued their impressive start to the year with Johnny Wilkie, Kian Downey, Theo Chapman and Archie Beckett picked out for recognition.
The year group of the week was the U16s, however, who impressed from A-C team with many notable individual performances from Lucas Friday and Dan Brown in the As, Christian Pauling and Tom Walkinshaw in the Bs, and Aaron Vaz and Jaedon Osei-Bonsu in the Cs.
